Introducing our Pet’s of the Week – Ike & Josie!
Fees are Waived on ALL Pet’s of the Week (current & prior)!
Josie is our puddy-tat rarity, while it’s true that a higher percentage of orange tabbies are male, the ratio is actually about 80 percent male to 20 percent female. Josie is a scared lady being here in the shelter. She doesn’t seem to like other cats much, nor does she like the dog noises in the shelter. She does like to be petted and would love a quiet place and a lovely window to look out of to watch the birds. Josie is only about 4 years young with many years of kitty-kat left in her! Josie is one of the longest residents at Haywood County Animal Services – She has been at the Shelter since May 2023.
**************************
Ike is approximately 1-1/2 years old and is a male blue and white Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix. Ike says…My come hither look got your attention didn’t it! I do have a way of just walking into a room and everyone says “aww, look how handsome”! And I don’t mind walking into a room filled with people, there is nothing shy about me at all. I love, love, love people! All people, give me people, people who will pet me, people who will walk me, people who will tell me to sit and give me treats! Because I am a good boy and I love to make people happy. I make Miss Deb happy, she calls me her new boyfriend! We do have fun together whether it’s on our walks or playing with toys in the play yard. She tells me my forever home is right around the corner. But until then, I’m going to keep my good boy attitude and wait until I meet the love of my life and they adopt me into my forever home. Ike has been at the Shelter since August 2023.
