The Friends of the Haywood County Animal Shelter, a local 501c3 charitable organization has set a fundraising goal of one million dollars. The non-profit organization will raise funds for medical and other related equipment as well as additional components that will ensure the new shelter operates as effectively as possible.

Having the proper equipment and systems in place will ensure that Haywood County can shelter animals in a medically safe and humane environment.”
Sarah Jane League, the group’s Secretary/Treasurer stated “We expect to have a fundraising event in June to initiate the campaign”. Information on the campaign will be posted to the organization’s website at www.hcasfriends.org and their Facebook page.
