Danny Jay says…I am a very happy and healthy pup of 9 yrs old! I love going on walks and being silly. I love every person I meet and would love to meet you. I might be 9 but I have many, many years left and I’d love to find a home where I can enjoy, relax, play and be part of a family. All it takes is you coming and meeting me. And you will see how easy it is to fall in love.

Zeb Smathers, Mayor of Canton- Zeb is a devoted public servant and a respected community leader, who has a great love for the town of Canton, North Carolina. Zeb received his Juris Doctorate from the University of North Carolina School of Law. He has been a member of the NC State Bar for many years and is a practicing attorney in Canton. Zeb is not only devoted to his work as the Mayor of Canton, but he also cares deeply about his family. He is married to Ashley, and together, they have a son named Stone.
Howard Martin, nicknamed “Howie” currently serves as Director of Animal Services for Haywood County. Born and raised in Polk County Florida, he loves living in Haywood County; retired Deputy Sheriff of Polk County 25.5 years of service. Howie has a grown son Grayson who works for NC State and lives in Raleigh, NC. Howie also has a seven year old Yellow Lab named “Scout”. Howie’s entire public service career has been working with and/or training animals within county government.
