Meet Teresa Smith, a proud Haywood County native and the Executive Director of MV Chamber. She also serves as the Friends Board President, having joined the board just before the new shelter opened. Teresa is married to Skeeter and recently mourned the loss of her beloved pet Jackson, a CKC, in December. Jackson was a familiar face at board meetings and helped raise over $55,000 for the Friends fund by greeting donors at A & C shows organized by MVChamber.
Outside of her professional and board roles, Teresa finds joy in working on landscaping projects, singing karaoke, and diving into a good book. She has a deep love for furry creatures and is especially fond of her community involvement with Friends of Haywood County Animal Shelter. This passionate group focuses on fundraising, community outreach, and volunteer efforts to support the local shelter and ensure shelter animals find loving forever homes.
The Friends of Haywood County Animal Shelter is a passionate group dedicated to supporting our local shelter through fundraising, community outreach, and volunteer efforts.
