Introducing our Pet of the Week – Bear!

Fees are Waived on ALL Pet’s of the Week (current & prior)!

If you’ve been on the lookout for a devoted, intelligent, friendly, well mannered, always happy good boy who loves to go on road trips and adventures, a dog that will keep your pitching arm in major league shape, a dog that likes to play hard and be part of everything you do – look no further than Haywood County Animal Services! Because Bear is your boy.

He is a Volunteer favorite to take on the trail and is always willing to show off for treats!

Healers are known for their intelligence, and they like to keep busy. Being a smart breed they also need plenty of mental stimulation and enrichment. Mental stimulation can tire a dog just as much as physical activity. So dig out those hiking boots up, look up a few puzzle games and come adopt this all-around good boy!

Introducing our Featured Kittens of the Week!

(Fees are NOT Waived for Featured Kittens)

Cassidy is a 5-6 month old young lady.

She is a very rambunctious little thing, loves to play with anything she can get her paws on.

She has been around other cats and would probably love a playmate!

She has the most inquisitive face and loves to stick her nose into everything exploring!

As her new person, be prepared for lots of chaos, lots of love and lots of entertainment.

Clyde is a 5-6 month old little guy.

He is very talkative and loves snuggles more than anything right now.

He loves to play, but prefers napping in your arms.

When he got to the shelter he had a bad eye that needed to be removed before it ulcerated.

He is now all healed up and ready for a home that will keep him inside, away from the dangers outside, because of his handicap.

It’s HCAS’ newest Animal Control Officer! Brad Morgan was born and raised in Haywood County.  Brad is a father and avid animal lover.  Brad is the newest addition to the Animal Control team and has been a fantastic one at that. He is enjoying learning all there is to know about animal control and is excited for what the future holds.

Monica Leslie, District Court Judge –  I have been a District Court judge for 19 years. I am the proud mom to three amazing children, one dog, three cats and a snake.  I love animals, and currently serve on the board for the Friends of the Haywood County Animal Shelter, as well as Hope for Horses. In my free time I enjoy traveling and fostering kittens for HCAS.
