Our Pet of the Week, Beau Jackson, had a few visitors during his photo shoot…Beau Jackson was photographed with Lt. Carver of the Haywood County Sheriff’s Department and Animal Services Enforcement Supervisor, Lyla Bible. Beau Jackson was quite ecstatic to share his drool and rolled over for a fun belly rubs! He was even happy to share a little dog hair with them to help accentuate their uniforms!
Beau Jackson is a 7 year old Boxer Mix. He loves belly rubs! Beau Jackson is friendly and affectionate! Beau Jackson quickly became a Volunteer Favorite! Beau Jackson loves to walk and is easy to handle! Beau Jackson has a fun, likeable vibe, is calm and chill.

About Beau Jackson’s photo-shoot buddies…
Lt. Carver – Has worked for the Haywood County Sheriff’s Office since 1994 and during that time served as a K-9 handler for 14 years. Doug and his wife have 2 goats – Aster and Violet, 3 dogs – Milly, Humphrey and Wini. They also have Sheila the black cat!
Lyla Bible, Animal Services Enforcement Supervisor – I have been with the department coming up on 4 years. Some of the fun aspects of my job are that I have the opportunity to work with all different types of animals, which is something I have wanted to do since I was a child.Everything from dogs, cats, goats and pigs to raccoons, opossums and the occasional snake. I really enjoy being able to assist and educate the public on proper care for their animals, and helping reunite lost pets is always a good feeling. I have been lucky to be in the right place at the right time to find and catch some dogs that had been lost for several days or more.
